This one-day symposium is designed to provide strategies for clinicians and administrators to build an effective, innovative and high value cardiovascular service line in this rapidly evolving healthcare environment.

The program will provide a comprehensive review of evolving specialties, emphasizing the significant technological advances in the treatment of advanced cardiovascular disease.

The program offers administrative, financial and clinical topics with an emphasis on enhancing your ability to provide high value, quality-driven care. Nationally and internationally recognized experts and leaders will give lectures in a multidisciplinary format.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

  • Discuss and understand ways to maximize operational efficiencies, advance CV technology while meeting new professional standards of care and appropriate use guidelines.
  • Identify new treatment modalities and verbalize ways to integrate into their program development and institutional offerings.
  • Discuss the impact of telemedicine on primary prevention, acute illness management.
  • Discuss improvements in minimally invasive therapeutic cardiac interventions.

  • The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
  • The College of Physicians and Surgeons designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physician should claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
  • This program has been planned and produced in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).

 

CNE ACCREDITATION STATEMENT

  • NewYork-Presbyterian Nursing Professional Development is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the New Jersey State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
  • This program will award 6.0 contact hours for nurses.
